"Slow Down!" is the slogan for the 9th edition of this film festival, formerly held in Lisbon. The theme addresses spatial practices that convey the idea of reduction. The festival will screen 20+ films (see the schedule) and also offer talks, debates, exhibitions, and masterclasses. All Portuguese and non-English spoken films have English subtitles. Admission to sessions range from free to 3.5€-9€.
Skateboarding lessons, at Parque Desportivo de Ramalde, 17h30-19h30
As part of the European Week of Sport, Porto is hosting free sports and activities in municipal facilities throughout the week. Today you can learn to skateboard! Free to participate, but registration by email is mandatory.

Femme Sessions #55 films showcase, at Maus Hábitos, starts 21h
A chance to watch unique shorts and award-winning films that were part of the official competition of the 5th edition of the Porto Femme International Film Festival. Entrance is free.
Colour Haze concert, at Hard Club, starts 21h

Famed Brazilian artist Luiz Martins creates contemporary art with a focus on primitive Brazil. Attend the opening of his latest exhibition, meet the artist, and take a guided tour. Pandora’Sox concert, at Barracuda Rock Club, starts 23h
This rock band hits the stage on the same day they release a new song that’s part of their debut album coming out in October. Great Fool is the opener. Tickets: 5€.

Porto City Race, around Porto, throughout the day
Family-friendly event! This two-day (1 & 2 Oct.) urban orienteering event will consist of three stages with separate classifications. Open to all ages, with participation as individuals or in a group. Last day to register is 28 Sept. Entry fee varies by age.
Ceramic plates class, at Ó! Cerâmica, 10h-13h
Three hours to get your hands dirty and learn how to make ceramic plates. Besides using your hands, you will learn different techniques, principles, and utensils to help you craft a few of your own pieces. All materials included. Fee: 35€. Register by email.

Get your laughs in at Portugal's largest-ever stand-up comedy festival. Today’s performances are in Portuguese at 19h (starts at 18h with DJ set + bar), 21h, and 22h30, featuring Tomás Matos, Tiago Fonseca, André Pinheiro, Pedro Mata, David Cristina, and Alexandre Santos. Dançando com a Diferença - dance performance, at Municipal Theater Rivoli, starts 19h30
Dançando com a Diferença, a dance company from Madeira, performs its national premiere of Blasons, choreographed and directed by François Chaignaud, and Doesdicon, choreographed and directed by Tânia Carvalho. The program is organized under the Portugal-France 2022 Season. Tickets start at 9€.
Luis Pestana + Aires electronic concert, at Municipal Theater Rivoli, starts 22h30
Luis Pestana transforms instruments from the predictable to the surreal. Listen to him distort guitars and blend digitally created layers. Aires opens the night. General admission tickets are available in advance starting at 9€.
