Monday, 26 February
Fish cannery factory tour, at Conservas Pinhais, multiple times
Experience how some of the best fish in the country is prepared and canned. English tours of this family-owned factory are available at 9h30-11h, 10h30-12h, 13h-14h30 and 16h-17h30 and tickets start at 17€.
Writing workshop, at Look.Sharp Cafe, 10h30-12h30
The meeting's format will be 90 minutes of writing, followed by 30 minutes of chatting about what we are writing and how it's going. You are welcome to stay longer if you want to continue writing afterward. Entrance is free.

Porta-Jazz concert, at Mercado do Bolhão, starts 12h30
The Balhão market hosts musicians from Porta-Jazz. Free to attend.
Running club, meet-up location varies, starts at 19h
Runners of all fitness levels meet weekly to exercise and socialize. Free to join. Email Warren for location details. The group also meets on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Love songs in the market, at Mercado Bom Sucesso, 20h-21h
Enjoy a meal with live music in the background. Today's performer is Paulo Ramos and Ruben Alves. Free to attend.
Wednesday, 28 February
Relaxed 10km run, at Centro de Marcha e Corrida de Paredes, starts 19h
This activity encourages participants to join in on an informal run or walk of 10 km, starting in the Center of March and Race of the Park of the City of Paredes and in the Rota dos Móveis Pavilion, in Lordelo. Free to attend and no RSVP needed.
Karaoke night, at Citynizer Plaza, starts 22h
A chance to sing like a superstar, the microphone is open to all who want to get up on stage. Free for all and no RSVP required.
Did you know: Culturgest Porto is a cool art space on Avenida dos Aliados that often hosts free exhibits and events.

Stand-up comedy show, at A Fábrica da Picaria, 11h-23h
A chance to see some of the top stand-up comedians before in this brewery (in Portuguese). Free but reservations are required.
Charlie Shepherd travel seminar, at Porto i/o Seaside, 18h30-20h
A conversation with Charlie Shepherd, the founder of Epic (www.epic.travel), a specialized travel and event planning company in Morocco and Portugal. Free to attend but registration is required.
Friday, 1 March
Wine tasting WSET level 2 certification, at WOW - The Wine School, 18h30-21h
This multiple day course (1-3 March) is designed as a complementary part of the WSET, focusing on wines produced in Portugal and is intended for individuals with little or no prior knowledge of wine. The cost for the three days is 710€.
Madama Butterfly play, at Coliseu Porto Ageas, 20h-22h30
In this opera, a young Japanese geisha who clings to the belief that her arrangement with a visiting American naval officer is a loving and permanent marriage. Tickets start at 15€.

This beer workshop at Sovina's factory will teach you everything you need to know about beermaking. Cost is 80€ per person.
Miles Kane concert, at Hard Club, starts 20h
For fans of The Last Shadow Puppets and The Rascals, Miles Kane presents his new album, One Man Band. Indie rocker, Ten Tonnes, opens the night. Tickets start at 26€.

Ramen cooking class, at Pop Up Workshops, 15h-18h
Tired of eating francesinhas for every meal, take this course by Chef Francisco Bonneville of Restaurant RO and learn to put together ramen. The class includes everything you need and you get to eat what you cook (in Portuguese). Tickets start at 40€.
