Monday, 10 July
"The Dynamic Eye" art installation, at Atkinson Museum, 10h-19h
A chance to see 100+ works by 63 international artists on loan from the Tate Collection in the UK. There are paintings, sculptures, works on paper, films, and installations from the 1950s and 1960s. Adult tickets are 15€.
Virtual Reality symphony, at Casa da Música, starts 10h30
An experience that puts the viewer at the heart of a concert, with music by Beethoven, Mahler, and Bernstein. Immersed in a 360º 3D film, you’ll be surrounded by the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and see the energy of conductor Gustavo Dudamel and even the instruments themselves. Free entrance, but reservation is required.
City tour and Douro River cruise, at Jardim do Morro, 14h30-18h30
This walking tour starts at the miradouro do Jardim do Morro. You cross the Luis I Bridge and hear the history of several neighborhoods and see an array of interesting sights. Then you take a private tour of Palácio da Bolsa before ending with a six bridges cruise on the Douro River. Costs 70€ for adults and 12€ for children.
My Port Wine Day, at Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e Porto, starts 18h
Enjoy a delicious tasting of Vista Alegre Dry White, Vista Alegre LBV 2015, and the elegant Vista Alegre Harvest 1996. These will be accompanied by sardines in olive oil, aged tuna steaks and trout with curry sauce. The cost is 5€ and registration is required.
Craft Peer podcast, at Maus Hábitos, starts 21h

Runners and walkers of all fitness levels meet weekly to exercise and socialize. Free to join. Email Warren for details and run location. The group also meets on Saturdays.

Ferro Bar is celebrating its 4th anniversary all week with free shows! The first night’s performers are Summer of Hate and DJ Lynce. Although the shows are free, admission is limited to room capacity, so get there early.

André Duque Lourenço makes wine with just pure grapes, no additions, in the Beira Baixa region. The tasting will highlight wines from sustainable, ecological vineyards that respect biodiversity and the ecosystem. The cost is 5€ and requires prepayment.
